Why Ishan Kishan opted out of South Africa Test series

Indian wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan will miss the two-Test series against South Africa due to mental fatigue caused by constant travel with the Indian team. Kishan requested a break from cricket as he had been traveling non-stop for the past year. The team management and selectors agreed to his request. Kishan has been a part of every Indian squad since January 2023, but has had limited game time. Despite being a member of the Test and intra-day squads, he opted to take a break from the South Africa tour.
