Extension on cards, BCCI wants Dravid to coach team in South Africa

The BCCI is considering extending a two-year contract to Rahul Dravid. Currently, the governing body is keen on having him serve as the head coach for the upcoming tour of South Africa while finalising the details of the arrangement. India finished runners-up in both the World Test Championship (WTC) and the ODI World Cup under his coaching. Between December 10, 2023, and January 7, 2024, India is scheduled to embark on a tour of South Africa, featuring three T20Is, three ODIs, and two Test matches.
